| Steve is an accomplished woodwind player, and has freelanced in jazz, blues, salsa, commercial, and symphonic music for over 20 years on saxes, flutes and clarinets. Steve completed his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance (summa cum laude) in 1999 at the University of North Florida, where he studied sax with jazz master Bunky Green. Since then Steve has shared the stage with such greats as Aretha Franklin, Arturo Sandoval, Joe Lovano, Carl Fontana, Mary Wilson (of the Supremes), the Four Tops, the Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey Orchestras, and the Savannah Symphony Orchestra, to name a few. Steve currently plays saxes in the DanceTime USA Radio Orchestra, where he's a founding member of the orchestra. He has played extensively in theatre orchestras, most notably with the 25th anniversary Broadway production of Annie. As a past member of the prominent Boston wedding band Shine, he's played numerous weddings and receptions as well.
Steve is a resident of Hattiesburg, where he’s working on a Masters degree in Woodwinds at the University of Southern Mississippi. He plays professionally on all the saxophones, flute/piccolo, and clarinet/bass clarinet. In the next few years, he'll be adding oboe and bassoon to his arsenal.
